What is Chord/Chord?

A lot people may wonder when they read through piano lead sheet. They found some sort music chord represent in this manner.

C/G or D/F# or Em/G……

What is this really meant for? Most of the people they will just hold the C chord if they see C/G, actually you could play something different from here. Of course we don’t play G chord here ONLY, that would sound wierd!!!

What you need to do is just have your right hand with C chord and left hand with G BASS chord. Yes, Bingo! you got the point

which mean the left chord is for your right hand and the right chord is for your left hand! got it?

As summary

D/F# ——> right hand play D chord and left hand play bass as F#.
